ART AT THE GLEN
Art at the Glen returns in July for its 19th edition, featuring about 140 juried artists’ works placed throughout the main road in The Glen Town Center (the charming shopping center made from an old U.S. naval air station). A plethora of retail and dining options will be on off er as well, along with live music. July 30-31, 2030 Tower Drive, Glenview
ART IN THE VILLAGE
Hosted by the North Shore Art League, this intimate Winnetka fair hosts around 65 artists each year who sell and display fine artworks across a range of forms. Located in Hubbard Woods Park, the event is a mellow affair, attracting just enough of a crowd to spark insightful conversation about the featured works. June 25-26, Hubbard Woods Park, Winnetka
BARRINGTON ART FESTIVAL
Held over Memorial Day weekend, this event features more than 130 artists and local creatives. Activities for the little ones and live music are also on the roster—and be sure not to overlook the food. McGonigal’s Beer & Grill Garden will be dishing up bites and beers, alongside other local restaurants, ice cream shops and cafes. Plus, guests can donate gently used wall art to the Chicago Furniture Bank. May 28-29, Cook and Station streets., Barrington
EVANSTON ART FEST
One of the North Shore’s most popular art experiences, this expansive festival celebrates its ninth anniversary this year and showcases over 130 juried artists (many offering demonstrations and booth chats); multiple stages for musicians and mouthwatering food round out the offerings. Aug. 19-21, 800 Church St., Evanston
