Catch Country Music Stars, BBQ, Beer And More At Chicago's 10th Annual Windy City Smokeout

Spend a weekend in Chicago at the Academy of Country Music’s choice “Festival of the Year,” the Windy City Smokeout. Jam out to live performances from country music stars at an outdoor music festival like no other. Since its inception in 2013, the annual Windy City Smokeout has brought people together for a dynamic festival weekend of good food and country music. The biggest names in the industry will be performing live, including award-winning co-headliners Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Willie Nelson, and the Turnpike Troubadours.

Known as one of the “biggest happy hours of the summer,” the Windy City Smokeout isn’t just about entertainment — guests can savor booze and bites during the many incredible musical performances. Enjoy tasty BBQ from outstanding pitmasters along with a complete selection of craft beer from the nation’s best breweries.

Since 2019, the festival has been held in the United Center parking lot to accommodate the enormous crowds and large variety of vendors. While listening to everything from twangy staples to the latest country hits, guests will have a phenomenal western view of the legendary Chicago skyline.

“When the band is playing, and you're drinking a cold beer, eating brisket and it's 6 o'clock at night, and you see the Chicago skyline in the background… it doesn't get any better than this in Chicago,” says media personality Pete McMurray, according to the festival’s press release.

The highlight of the festival will be the long-awaited reunion of the Turnpike Troubadours, who have been on hiatus since 2019. The headliners will perform some of their greatest hits, including tracks from their Billboard Hot 200 title album, The Turnpike Troubadours.
