GI Research Foundation Celebrates 62nd Annual Ball

The Highland Park-based GI Research Foundation celebrated its 62nd annual ball in honor of the donors, doctors and scientists who have contributed to groundbreaking gastrointestinal research.
Dr. Eugene B. Chang received the Joseph B. Kirsner Award, and Jennifer Riback shared her experience with ulcerative colitis and expressed her gratitude for the foundation’s support and doctors like David Rubin, Chief of the Section of Gastroenterology, Hematology and Nutrition at the University of Chicago and the GI Research Foundation’s Senior Scientific Advisor.
The event showcased the foundation’s achievement of exceeding $20 million in research funding last year, and ended with a performance by magician Mat Franco.
