Guests at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago’s Mile High Cocktail Club experience presented in collaboration with Handshake Speakeasy
The Four Seasons Hotel Chicago has announced the spring refresh and extension of its exclusive speakeasy, Mile High Cocktail Club. Now running through June 15, the limited-time experience features a premier collaboration with Mexico City-based cocktail bar Handshake Speakeasy, recently crowned No. 1 on the prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Handshake’s bar director, Eric van Beek, and his team have curated a lineup of handcrafted cocktails showcasing rare and aged spirits, including a freshly debuted coconut-infused Negroni that celebrates the return of warm weather. The speakeasy has also opened its availability for private and semi-private buyouts, offering a lavish experience with exclusive menus, handcrafted cocktails and premier skyline views in the 40-seat Mile High space.
Also new this spring, the destination has expanded its hours to accommodate sunset seating, debuted new seasonal packages and introduced live music performances on Thursday and Sunday nights. For an uber-VIP visit, guests can partake in the Rare Air: The Adorn + Mile High Experience, complete with exclusive Champagne pours, caviar bumps, a selection of appetizers and signature entrees, followed by a specialty dessert and a cocktail. They can also opt for the curated Four Seasons Chicago Yacht Experience for a nautical voyage followed by drinks at Mile High Cocktail Club in a private space.
The Bacardi Reserva 8 Años-infused Cariño cocktail
During their visit, speakeasy-goers can choose between two- or four-drink packages, which include a welcome glass of Champagne at Adorn Bar. Exclusive to Mile High Cocktail Club, lounge-goers can sample the Tomato is a Fruit, a Grey Goose vodka-infused cocktail with tomato, coconut, strawberry and citrus flavors.
Other highlights include the Salt-N-Pepper (Ilegal Mezcal, strawberry, yellow bell pepper, habanero and salt), the Earl Grey (Bombay Sapphire gin, Earl Grey tea, bergamot, lemongrass and Nami sake), the Olive Oil Gimlet (Cazadores Blanco tequila, olive oil, apple, rosemary and Lillet Blanc), the Cariño (Bacardi Reserva 8 Años, Yellow Chartreuse, vanilla, lemon, Greek yogurt and nutmeg) and the Bitter Mushroom Old Fashioned (Angels Envy Bourbon, brown butter, mushroom, maple and walnut).
Gemstone-inspired interior accents presented by Kehoe Designs
The reopening coincides with the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago’s 35th anniversary, honored with a signifying emerald-hued color palette and design presented by firm Kehoe Designs. The space is adorned with plush banquettes, a luminous bar, candlelight, Edison bulbs and a “Sands of Time” gem-filled bathtub, which pays homage to the former hotel suite.
The Mile High Cocktail Club is now open through June 15. Reservations are required and can be made on Tock.
