Writers Theatre presents a filmed version of Anna Ziegler’s play The Last Match.
When Writers Theatre says “the show must go on,” it means it. Proof positive: A year after the Glencoe institution was set to produce Anna Ziegler’s tennis-driven drama The Last Match, theaters are still shuttered—so Artistic Director Michael Halberstam, Director Keira Fromm and team are bringing the production to virtual life. Says Halberstam of the show, which is being performed and filmed on the original set and made available for audience members to screen at home, “I’m delighted to welcome back Keira Fromm to Writers Theatre and finally bring her beautiful production to audiences. It is pure Writers Theatre, and I can’t wait to share it.” April 28-May 30, writerstheatre.org/the-last-match
