It’s finally fall, and with that comes pumpkins, spice and everything nice.
In honor of the coziest season, chef and lifestyle blogger Tieghan Gerard of Half Baked Harvest teamed with fragrance brand Snif on a scented candle that captures all the best elements of autumn—and because she’s all about a well rounded experience, Gerard also concocted a seasonal cocktail to pair with your sweet night in.

"When we created the pumpkin smash candle, I already had visions of the cocktail in my head,” she says, “a crackling fire, our pumpkin smash candle burning, and a spicy whiskey cocktail in hand. When enjoyed together, they create the coziest night."
Both the Half Baked Pumpkin Smash candle and cocktail recipe aim to take your pumpkin spice experience up a notch. The non-toxic, vegan-formula candle boasts top notes of whisky accord and cardamom, infused with brûléed orange, cinnamon stick and salted maple. The scent lingers with velvet musks, roasted chocolate, patchouli, Peru balsam and Orcanox.
The cocktail accompaniment is likewise full of sultry flavors and spicy brightness. First, you create a spiced pumpkin syrup (which might come in handy in other moments of your season), then you mix it in a shaker with whiskey, citrus and an optional splash of ginger beer.
Recreate Gerard’s perfect fall vibe with the Half Baked Pumpkin Smash candle, available now exclusively at snif.co, in either an 8.5 or 50 ounce variety. Both promise more than 50 or 200 hours of burn time, respectively, which should be enough to last you throughout the season!
Of course, it’s not just right until you pair it with the Spice Maple Pumpkin Smash cocktail below. Try this recipe with your friends and family, and shop Gerard’s special candle and more at snif.co.
Ingredients:
Spiced Pumpkin Syrup
Pumpkin Smash
Directions:
To make the spiced pumpkin syrup: combine all ingredients in a sauce pot. Boil 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from the heat. Let cool. This syrup makes enough for about 6 drinks.
To assemble the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 to 3 tablespoons pumpkin syrup, the whiskey, orange juice and orange bitters. Add ice and shake. Strain into a glass. Top off with ginger beer, if desired.
