As the newest installment of Shinola’s Great Americans series, the limited-edition watch is the first manual wind chronograph designed by the Detroit-based brand and pays homage to the Apollo 11 lunar mission. Only 400 pieces will ever be made.
The titanium body case is paired with a three-link titanium bracelet. The color scheme of blue, red and cream is inspired by domestic space efforts giving the piece a timeless yet unique style sure to generate some compliments.
The watch, retailing for $3,995, is currently available for preorder and will be fully available on July 16. The watches will be shipped to customers in custom packaging designed to celebrate the efforts of the Detroit workforce during the initial moon landing.
