October is not only a month for ghosts, ghouls and pumpkins. The changing of leaf colors and dropping temperatures also signal Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Every year some of your favorite brands release items and collections to benefit breast cancer research and services to those fighting the good fight. Whether it’s the Susan J. Here are some of the brands putting your money to good work this October.
A comfortable sweater and generous donation to The Breast Cancer Alliance is a win-win. Brochu Walker launched a layered sweater in a baby pink shade called Paloma. Every purchase of this sweater from Oct. 1 through 31 adds to Brochu Walker’s donation to the non-profit, which supplies grants to young researchers in the field. The brand promised to donate 20 percent of all net sales on the sweater, so get cozy for a cause!
If you are looking for more of an everyday staple, these Baubo hoops are a great option. Minnie Lane, the creator of these hoops, will donate 10 percent of sales from its Naked Everyday collection to the Vanderbilt Breast Cancer Center. The hoops are just one of many items in the collection, which also boasts a silver version, as well as gold silhouette earrings and necklaces to compliment the hoops.
This timepiece is the perfect way to show your support this October. Zenith watches released its limited edition Chronomaster in original pink. The watch is only available during Breast Cancer Awareness month. Proceeds from each sale benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. The watch is only available in select stores around the U.S., so act fast and be sure to check the website.
Stay fresh with La Mer Crème de la Mer moisturizing cream. Beyond being good for your skin, 100 percent of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from Oct. 1 of this year through June 30, 2023.
If you’ve ever wanted pumps or a purse reminiscent of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Jimmy Choo has the collection for you. The brand released an all-pink line in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. From pumps to bags and scarves, you can support the cause in style. Jimmy Choo will donate 20 percent of the purchase to BCRF.
Colleen Rothschild takes self care to a whole new level with the “Breast” Friend Self-Exam Butter. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, 100 percent of the retail sales go directly to The Pink Fund. The Pink Fund is a non-profit organization focusing on helping patients in active treatment with 90 days of non-medical living expenses. Not only does the butter benefit The Pink Fund, it also raises awareness for the importance of self-exams.
Jiggy created a way for us to support the cause while supporting local artists and their work. The puzzle company partnered with Brooklyn-based artist Julia Heffernan on a unique puzzle titled “Boobs,” and 20 percent of the proceeds go to various breast cancer organizations. The female-founded company has released a “Boobs” puzzle every year since its launch in the debut collection, so be sure to check back every October for the latest and greatest.
Back on the jewelry train, Gorjana supports the cause with its Breast Cancer Awareness collection. The pieces are all gold with pink gemstones and pink accents. From necklaces to rings, there is something for every type of jewelry wearer. For the entire month of October, 50 percent of each item price benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Wear your support in another way this October. Madewell released a collection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, socks and bandanas in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. From now through December 31, 50 percent of the purchase price from each item sold will be donated to the BCRF.
