Georgiana Darcy and Kitty Bennet—beloved characters from Jane Austen’s formative work Pride and Prejudice—take center stage this season at Northlight Theatre in Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon’s Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley, directed by Marti Lyons. In this final installment of the Pemberley trilogy (preceded by Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley), the previously minor characters step into the spotlight in a story about the youngest Darcy and Bennet sisters’ friendship, ambition, love and sisterhood. “The authors have again created an entirely new play,” says Northlight artistic director B.J. Jones, “owing its inspiration to the original Austen masterpiece, yet with its own plots, characters and themes that are fresh and resonant of our current moment.” Nov. 25-Dec. 24, 9501 Skokie Blvd., Skokie
